Admissions open for the 2026–2027 academic year

We are delighted to announce that applications for the 2026–2027 academic year are now open at Norden International School. We welcome families in Helsinki looking for a high-quality English-medium education for children in Grades 1–9, taught within the Finnish national curriculum.

Why apply to Norden

Founded in 2013, Norden is a small international school where every child is known by name. Small class sizes, named teachers from five countries, and a curriculum that’s both internationally respected and English-medium — that’s the offer.

Places available

Spaces are available across both the Primary (Grades 1–6) and Secondary (Grades 7–9) programmes. Places fill in the order applications are received and typically well before the start of the school year in August.

How to apply

1. Visit us first. Open mornings happen several times a year, and we welcome private tours by appointment any time. Most families decide whether Norden is the right school for their child in person.
2. Apply using the application form. We come back to you by email, usually the same working day, and arrange the level assessment.
3. Confirm and start. Once a place is offered, the registration fee secures it. Sign the school contract and your child starts on the agreed date — typically in August.
